CPU-only decode on 1-3B models is reported across several blogs in the low single digits to low teens of tok/s, and the AI HAT+ NPU figures found were too inconsistent between sources to record. 17 GB/s is a straightforward LPDDR4X-4267 32-bit-bus calculation (4267 MT/s x 4 bytes), not a vendor headline figure. The 8GB board rose $30 to $145 in February 2026, from $80 at launch, in the second of two DRAM-shortage price increases since December 2025; the 16GB board nearly doubled to $205. Raspberry Pi Ltd has said these increases are meant to be temporary once DRAM pricing normalises, and whether a further rise or a rollback happened between February and August 2026 is unconfirmed. The Canadian price is from the official Canadian reseller, board only rather than a kit.
